The Half Way Mark...

This is a water color still life that I am in the process of working on.  It, too, will be auctioned/raffled (I'm not really sure the difference) off at the Good Counsel Beef & Beer fundraiser on February 4th.  I will post the finished product when it is finished!

I was listening to pandora, and this song came on and I immediately fell in love with it.  It then got me thinking about a new art piece, which then resulted in....this! Voila!

Honestly, I'm kind of frustrated that I can't get good lighting anywhere in my house.  Either that, or my phone just takes really crappy pictures (probably the latter.)  It's frustrating because it doesn't capture the true color of the actual painting (or the brushstrokes, etc.) It was either that picture or...

Yeah, obviously the first picture is way better.  They look completely different, even though they're of the same painting!

Acrylic Boat at Sunset

This is an acrylic that I did of a sailboat at sunset.  You'll notice in the future that a lot of my paintings will probably be a water scenery, because I love painting reflections on water.  I'm currently working on another acrylic of boats at dock.  That was an assignment I had for school  last June.  Yes, I'm still working on it....
I do have to work on this one a bit more before it's auctioned off for the Good Counsel Beef & Beer as well.  I'll put the finished product up when it's done!

Lily Pastel (Right Side Up)

I finally figured out how to turn it!
This is the same chalk pastel that I did of a lily.

Acrylic Horses

An acrylic of two horses.  I did this for my sister's birthday present because she adores horses.
The color in this is slightly off from the actual picture because the lighting was weird where I took the picture.  Hopefully I can put a better one up later!

Pastel Lily

This is a chalk pastel of a close-up of a lily that I found on the internet.  It's going
to be raffled off at the Good Counsel Beef & Beer fundraiser event on February 4th! 
It's also sideways again.  I still can't figure out how to turn it. So just do me a favor
and when you look at it, turn your head to the left.
